Sir Terence Rattigan was one of the most popular English 20th-century dramatists. Reading the play was okay

I'm glad I got the original version of this drama on paper to read. I don't know how much it helped me understand the play or rather the two movie versions. But "The Winslow Boy" in either version on film is really a great play. A courtroom drama without ever going into the courtroom ... also a wonderful insight into an historical event at a different level. My favorite is the Mamet film, BTW.

I liked the play itself, but I especially liked three editorial contributions: 1) a description of the real-life events from which the play derives, 2) a history of the various productions and adaptations of the play, and 3) a discussion of Rattigan's place in English drama.

She earned her Masters degree in Art History at the University of California, Berkeley, and her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Humanities at the Florida State University. This one book lasted two semesters, This is a great reference to use with a Western Civilization class, this text tells what is going on socially and artistically while the Western Civ courses tell what is going on politically and militarily. Really good idea to take the 2 classes back to back.

It's finally back in print!

I first read this book years ago, while it was still in paperback. I wore out the paperback and could never find a replacement. I was elated to find that it was finally out for Kindle.
The story is based upon the long time rumor that occultists helped to prevent Hitler's invasion of Great Britain during the Battle of Britain; much like the tale of Francis Drake holding off the Spanish Armada during the time of Elizabeth I. The depiction of the rites is very much like published ritual practices for various occult and pagan groups in Western traditions.
The story is well-told and re-reading it endears this author to me again.

This is an absolutely fantastic book. Even though it is "Alternate History" it reads like it could be truth. Engrossing and one of the authors best works. Strangely it has been very hard to find, so when it became available here I snapped it up.

SPECIAL KIND OF ARDUINO

Good for general parts, what motors, materials, ideas. The book uses a special sort of arduino that already includes all the GPS/gyrometer...ect and is hooked up to some software.

Only about an 1-1.5 hour read. Worth the read before building a quadcopter.

I'm confused about the title. The book only shows you pictures of the arduino. Doesn't tell you a thing how to build using one.
